About Us

Worldwide Livestock Services was founded by brothers Tony and Alex Alessandrini. Both Tony and Alex started at Lazcar International Inc, one of the largest livestock shipping agents in southern United States. They started from the bottom and worked their way up to where they are today with persistence, confidence, and intelligence. They grew up shipping horses and livestock at Miami International Airport and grew a love for the service.

                 Tony Alessandrini has over thirty years of personal experience in the shipping, loading and flying of horses and livestock all over the world. Alex Alessandrini, head of the operation, like Tony, has over thirty years of experience in the business. His job requires handling, loading, and flying both horses and livestock worldwide. Spending most of their time in Miami International Airport and in the USDA animal import/export center, they have basically made it their second home.

                 There is a staff of eight livestock handlers/professional groomers at Worldwide Livestock Services. All our employees were carefully handpicked and experienced horsemen and have horses themselves. We have also had employees compete on a semi- professional level, and we are extremely proud of that. Our employees came with referrals from other companies within the industry as well, so we know we have the perfect people for the job here at WLS. We have an outstanding employee retention rate; most of our employees have been with us since the company was founded. When a new employee is considered, they go through training and an on-job apprenticeship, where they learn the mechanics of the equipment and shipping procedures before handling any work with horses or livestock. With this training, we are confident our employees can handle anything.
